戲曲充份表現劇場的整體藝術,無論在唱、做、人物塑造、功架、排場與武打表演上皆要求千錘百煉的技巧,因此享有舞台藝術的獨特地位,乃中華文化重要一環。來到21世紀,戲曲表演藝術家面對全新的挑戰。戲曲學院院長劉國瑛教授將透過是次講座,分享如何透過創新的教學方法,為新一代的粵劇從業員提供實踐和綜合的全面性訓練。
Chinese opera is recognised as a unique and supreme example of total theatre, requiring the most profound refinement of skills in singing, acting, characterisation, movement, choreography and acrobatics. This art form constitutes a valuable part of Chinese culture. In this talk, Professor Martin Lau, Dean of the School of Chinese Opera shares how the School adopts an innovative teaching and learning approach to equip young talents with necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the challenges of the 21st century.
劉國瑛教授簡介
劉國瑛教授於2018年出任戲曲學院院長,並先後獲美國波士頓大學教育碩士及華盛頓大學文學士,現於南加州大學修讀教育博士。他早於1993年開展戲曲藝術事業,歷年來與多個專業粵劇團及演員合作,至今累積超過600場演出經驗。
About Professor Martin Lau
Professor Martin Lau has served as the Dean of the School of Chinese Opera at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) since 2018. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Social Sciences and earned his Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Boston University. Professor Lau is currently studying a Doctor of Education in Organisational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education.
